Israel SEO Company Networking: Mini SMX Internet Marketing Event in Israel

By Shalom | December 18, 2007

A “mini SMX” style event will be held in Jerusalem, Israel February 2008. Details are still not fully out but a group has been started on facebook and a few details have been posted on the Sphinn website.

This could be an opportunity for Israel SEO companies to come together and learn from their combined knowledge or…

It could be a drawn out sales session where competitors go to check out one another in an attempt to label themselves professionally relative to others in their industry. Either way, it might be worth the food and beverages – but then again there are plenty of good places to eat in Jerusalem for a lot less than $50.

Hate to be the pessimist ;(

SEO vs. SEM vs. SMO - What should you do?

By Shalom | October 12, 2007

As a full service marketing company we offer SEO (search engine optimization), SEM (search engine marketing), and SMO (social marketing / social media optimization), web design / redesign and web application development.

Some might say… “WOW amazing that you offer everything”, others might suggest that we focus on one. The reason we offer all is because all of the above are connected and should not be separated in order to manage a successful internet marketing campaign.

For example why even begin a PPC campaign if your site’s usability (based on design and/or content) will not allow you to maximize your traffic. Therefore before investing money into driving traffic - make sure your design will support your marketing goals. Also some PPC advertising networks consider your sites current SEO (i.e Yahoo), so essentially you can’t even begin that program until you have reached some level of optimization. Now considering social marketing is largely based on content development and seo depends on content, why would you develop content for one without considering the other.

PPC being as competitive as it is also requires ongoing optimization which includes landing page testing in addition to campaign optimization. Landing page testing requires graphic design, content development and web programming - so explain to me how a PPC management company can ignore that (and trust me most do).

Now you’ve got your site optimized and your campaigns in great shape - but your business is being crippled by the huge influx in leads or sales. Well, now it’s time for some application development (CRM, marketing tracking system).

Basically the point is… we specialize in all of the above not because more means more ($)  - but because in order to do it right you must be able to do it all. I challenge any marketing professional to disagree with me!

Increase Conversions with a Vanity Number on your Website.

By Shalom | August 14, 2007

Business owners know that a vanity number can make a big difference in establishing one’s self as an authority thus lending to an increase in business. In the online realm this can be particularly important. Publishing your business’ phone number instils trust in your visitors, and a vanity number works to establish your business as an authority at the same time.

There are two main points to remember:

  1. Place your phone number at the top right hand side of your page and repeat the number at least one other time on the same page. Ideally top right, center left, and bottom.
  2. If you use vanity number, its best to translate the letters/words in to numbers under it. Although having and providing a vanity number can be a great tool. You will see a big difference in click to call conversions if you publish the number translation under it as well. Visitors might remember your vanity number – but seeing the number translation will make calling you a lot easier!

E-Commerce Sites and Cash Flow!

By Shalom | August 3, 2007

99% of all e-commerce sites fail – for a variety of reasons which I won’t go into today. However, one major barrier for an e-commerce site is cash flow to fuel marketing expenses. Like any business offline or online, marketing is an investment. E-commerce sites that utilize valuable online marketing media can see a quicker return on their marketing investment than an offline business.

For example: Your site sells (X) and converts at 3%. Profit on every (X) sold = $50. Marketing via Google Adwords you pay $1 for every click on keywords related to product (X). For every $100 you worth of clicks you sell 3 products and profiting $50 – 50% return – not bad.

But its not always so simple. We know that SEM campaigns need to pass their own optimization process and expanding campaigns slowly through testing and retesting takes time.  You might be making sales but cash flow is needed to maintain your marketing especially if fulfilment delays your transactions from being captured, and your merchant account only transfers funds back to your credit card that pay for your Adwords Ads after a few days. See the problem;  Cash flow!

Now take all your numbers and figures walk into the bank and ask the executive there for a small business loan. Banks don’t give small business loans to e-commerce ventures. So what do you do? If you have personal credit and collateral you can take a personal loan. Or, if your sites is currently accepting credit cards get an Unsecured Business Cash Advance. With an unsecured business cash advance you don’t need good credit, collateral or a personal guarantee. As long as your business is established, registered in USA and processes at least $1K in Visa or Master Card invoices a month – you will qualify! Another advantage is that unlike small business loans, there is no fixed monthly repayment amount with an unsecured business cash advance. Basically the lender takes a percentage of you future sales – which means that you pay when you can. Business Cash Advances  can not be used for starting a new business – only businesses that already process credit cards can get an advance on future credit card sales.

FastUpFront: Unsecured Business Cash Advance Program offers up to $250,000 quickly without the hassles associated with business loans.
